Saturday can’t come soon enough for Eric Irvin.
This weekend, the well-rounded Team Guardian stud is set to return to action in a Shamrock FC headline bout in St. Louis.
After Irvin dropped a close decision in his most recent outing, he’s hungry to get back to his winning ways.
“That loss definitely doesn’t sit well with me — none of my losses do,” Irvin says. “But it just made me hungrier to go out there and show everyone what I’m really capable of.
“They say you get much better after a loss than a win. I agree with that, and I’m looking to prove that again in my next fight.”
Irvin, who prides himself on his well-roundedness, is the proud owner of five wins via submission. But he’s looking for something a little different on Fight Night.
“No, you definitely don’t want to go to the ground with me, but I’m after a knockout or a TKO,” Irvin says. “I’m going to show everyone that I’m just as dangerous standing up and exchanging as I am on the ground.”
