It’s official: Rob Font is slated to make his long-awaited Octagon debut against George Roop at UFC 175 in Las Vegas.
Font, CES MMA’s defending featherweight champion, has won nine straight bouts, including four by way of first-round finish. Font’s opponent — Roop — is an eight-time UFC veteran.
“He has a lot of fights, a lot of experience and he’s super tough, but I do see holes. I see holes in his stand-up game and that’s where I’m the best at,” Font says. “I’m looking to go in there and make this guy look stupid, you know?”
Font isn’t worried about his drop to bantamweight either.
“I’m ahead of schedule and I’m eating six, seven times a day, so it’s not like I’m starving,” he says with a laugh. “It’s just a lot more vegetables, more fruit. Put the pizza down and stick to the greens.
“I’m eating like a big kid now.”
Guardian Sports Group and Rob Font would like to sincerely thank CES MMA and Tyson Chartier.
